The latest paper from the UW Massive Stars research group is focused on the evolved massive stars in the TESS dataset! Led by Trevor Dorn-Wallenstein along with myself and UW postdoc Jim Davenport, the paper examines the two-minute (!) cadence lightcurves of fascinating evolved massive stars such as yellow supergiants and LBVs, and is a first exploration of the fascinating stellar physics that we could glean from such high-cadence lightcurves of these stars. This work is part of Trevor’s thesis, and we’re hoping to further explore massive stars with TESS in the future!
