Last week I visited the Perimeter Institute to give a public lecture on “The Weirdest Stars in the Universe”. You can watch the entire lecture here!

The next day I was also lucky enough to join a number of other women serving as speakers, panelists, and mentors for a morning at the “Inspiring Future Women in Science” event marking international womens’ day. We had ~200 high school women in attendance, and it was a wonderful chance to meet so many of them and talk about our experiences as scientists! You can see video of our panel discussion here.

Finally, earlier in the week I was also featured in a short piece on NPR’s All Things Considered, talking about how the book A Wrinkle In Time influenced my interest in physics and astronomy as a young kid! The piece was a portion of a longer interview that I did for the upcoming podcast The Deep, on influential childrens’ books.
